Danny Parker /
Creative Director

Hello! If you’ve found your way over here, I imagine you might want to find out a bit more about me. And that’s just fine with me, so here we go. I am multi-disciplinary Creative Director with 18+ years of experience in advertising, art direction and design. My career started out at a small ad agency back in my hometown of San Antonio. It was great…a place where I was able to cut my teeth a little. But after a short while I just figured there was a big ol’ world out there and I might as well see what I could do. So, I decided Los Angeles might be a cool place to go. And boy was it. I was able to land a gig in the world of theatrical key art design at one of the best shops in the city—Crew Creative. I designed key art and media for over 300 films, everything from blockbusters to indie docs. The experience was transformational. I worked with some of the best designers I’ve ever known, was lucky enough to learn from amazing mentors, and really found my approach and vision for design and ideation. I also found that big, blank sheets of paper are really exciting things. After a few years in Los Angeles, I felt a call to move back home to Austin, where I ran a freelance design business for many years. Then in 2009, a new family and a focus on the future found me designing all kinds of media for El Rey Network, an English/Spanish language entertainment brand run by filmmaker Robert Rodriguez. And finally in 2017, as the winds of change blew once again, I made his way client-side, coming to Expedia Group where I’ve been able to tell beautiful stories and travel the world as a Global Creative Director for Vrbo and Expedia brands.

Oh, and the school part! I have a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin, and am a proud graduate of the Texas Creative Program, where Professor David Horridge taught me how to think.
