It was 20 months into the pandemic. The holidays were coming, and the cluttered truth was that our homes were being used for way more than they were intended for. To help stop the madness, we reminded people their homes might not be ready to host family festivities yet. By urging them to rent a Vrbo, they could spend the holidays with the people they love in a vacation home that’s, well, just a vacation home.


Jimmy Kimmel Live!

To build on the momentum of our Slash holiday campaign, we created an integration with Jimmy Kimmel Live! Just like our homes were being used for too much during the pandemic, 2020 was full of canceled trips and postponed gatherings. In this hilarious spot, Guillermo makes up for lost time by inviting his family to celebrate every missed event—from Halloween to a quinceañera—all in one Vrbo home. Our ad seamlessly integrated into Late Night TV culture, solidifying Vrbo as the perfect setting for a family vacation.
